June Keithley-Castro to receive full military honors

Full military honors will be given to People Power icon June Keithley-Castro, a reservist with the rank of general. She earned this stature after she was awarded the medal of the Legion of Honor by former president Cory Aquino following Keithley’s heroism in 1986 when she served as the voice of renegade radio station “Radio Bandido”.

Keithley-Castro’s remains are at the St. Ignatius Chapel in Camp Aguinaldo.

Last night, her friends including personalities from politics, media, and show business, attended here wake.

Her remains will be brought to the ABS-CBN Chapel this Thursday before her burial on Friday at the Loyola Park in Marikina.

Keithley-Castro died early Sunday evening at the Saint Luke's Medical Center after years of battling cancer. Her husband, newsman Angelo Castro, Jr., died in 2012.
